Grinding tools from EFFGEN Schleiftechnik use super hard diamond or cubic boron nitride grains (cBN). With proper selection and adaptation for the intended use, they perform their grinding tasks to perfection – from both the technological and economic standpoints.

Diamond is used for high-performance grinding of glass, carbide, ceramics, plastics and stone. Due to its affinity for carbon, diamond is poorly suited to the processing of ferrous materials. For these tasks, cubic boron nitride is an ideal grain material. It fills the gaps between conventional abrasives and diamond. Cubic boron nitride is suitable for machining a wide variety of materials, including high speed steels, steels for hot and cold working, stainless and heat resistant steels, chromium and titanium alloys.
